Transfer of the amounts of the grants for electoral expenses
*IMPORTANT: In order for the Ministry of the Interior to be able to process the grants for electoral expenses, it is essential for the following to be communicated to the competent Electoral Board or, in due course, the Court of Audit, to enable them to inform the Directorate General for Domestic Policy of:

Name of the political entity, indicating whether it is a party, federation, coalition or grouping of voters, as well as the tax ID number of the candidacy in question.

The province in which they have obtained electoral results or where the head office is located.

The identification data of the Administrator (Forename, Surname(s), Address, Town/City and Province) granting his/her consent to the verification of his/her personal data via the Identity Data Verification System or a photocopy of his/her ID card.

Form for the designation of the bank account and notification of the cancellation of banking details from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, correctly filled in, signed by the Administrator and stamped by the banking institution.
The holders of the electoral expenses accounts must be the political formations, and they are reminded that they must designate them remotely at the Treasury.
This information can be sent directly to the Directorate General for Domestic Policy, provided that it has been previously communicated to the above-mentioned bodies.
Documentation to be submitted to the Directorate-General for Domestic Policy:

Letter designating the Administrator for the Elections to the European Parliament on 9 June 2024, stamped by the corresponding Electoral Board.

Identification details of the candidacy, indicating whether it is a party, federation, coalition or grouping, as well as the name and initials of the candidacy and contact email address.

If it is a coalition, it is essential to provide the coalition pacts on the official form, stamped by the corresponding Electoral Board.

Tax ID card of the candidacy submitted.

The Administrator’s identification data, name, tax ID number and valid email address.

Certificate proving that the formation is up-to-date with its tax and Social Security obligations.

These certificates must make express reference to Article 13.2.e) of Law 38/2003 of 17th November on General Subsidies.

Bank account designation form correctly filled in, signed by the Administrator and stamped by the banking institution.
Documentation submission requirements:
In accordance with the provisions of Article 14.2.a) of Law 39/2015 of 1st October on the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations, legal persons are obliged to communicate with the Public Administration by electronic means.
By virtue of the above, communications and notifications will be sent remotely and made available to the formations at the Single Authorised Electronic Address and the Electronic Headquarters.
As a result of the above, formations must have an electronic certificate associated with the formation’s tax ID number, and, if they wish the communications to be sent to other persons holding the appropriate representation of the formation, to provide a letter signed by the Administrator identifying the name of the person in question, together with his/her tax ID number and email address.
The documentation required to be eligible for the payment of grants for electoral expenses must be submitted via the Electronic Register to the Subdirectorate General for Domestic Policy and Electoral Processes (Code DIR3 E03112802).
